From our family to yours

Humble Beginnings

Country Rose Homes was started on a dream of living in the country. Harold Dueck and Peter Thiessen, two childhood friends, partnered together in 1995 and helped shape our custom acreage home and renovation company to where it is today. The company joined the National Home Warranty Program and Calgary Region Homebuilder’s Association (CRHBA), and adopted the specific business principles of integrity, quality, and customer service.

Country Rose Homes Today

Country Rose Homes has continued to expand and evolve over the years and Trevor Bueckert joined the company in 2008, bringing fresh input and managing the sales and marketing end of the business. Along with his wife Cynthia, they have continued to help Alberta families build their dreams, while raising a family of their own. These days Harold focuses his efforts on designing the homes, while Peter enjoys a life of (semi-) retirement.

Country Rose Homes Ltd. has established itself as a leader in the design, development, and construction of custom acreage homes and renovations in southern Alberta. We are proud to have helped over 190 homeowners make their dreams an every-day reality over the last 29 years.

Trevor Bueckert

Trevor is the face and voice of Country Rose Homes, with 28 years of experience in the construction industry. Since joining the company in 2008, he focuses on the sales side of the business as well as supervising trades and schedules on the job site. He is very hands-on from start to finish, so you'll be seeing a lot of him.

Cynthia Bueckert

Growing up as the daughter of a custom home builder, Peter's daughter has spent the past 29 years around home sites in one fashion or another. She guides clients through decisions and selections for their home and helps them stay on top of any changes that need to be made along the way. She also works in an administrative role, keeping track of the many details of building a custom home.

Harold Dueck

Harold brings with him 35 years of construction business management and design experience, and 40 years in the construction industry in general. In 1990 he earned his Masters Degree in Environmental Design from the University of Calgary, just a few years before founding Country Rose Homes. These days he focuses on his design work, working closely with Country Rose Homes through his other company, HD Architectural Design Inc.

Harold grew up in the country and has enjoyed his own acreage lifestyle for the past 30 years.

Peter Thiessen

Peter started his 39-year construction career in the commercial industry and you can see his projects around Calgary from LRT stations, high rise buildings, schools and bridges. In 1995 he partnered with Harold and channelled his knowledge towards custom acreage homes.

Now semi-retired he has taken his skills and puts them towards providing disaster relief for families across North America, starting with the floods in High River. His skills from both the commercial and residential has helped many families with rebuilding their homes or bridge access. When he is home you will often see him on the jobsites keeping an eye on his son-in-law!
